Wheeew...I will just reiterate what I said in an earlier thread: you would have to pry them outta my cold dead hand lol. Well...maybe not the Amex Hilton and Fidelity Amex.
My Cap One Card (9yrs, 10% APR), Discover IT (5% rewards), and SPG Points (I value them dearly). My fourth card would be the BCP if I ever get it
(But if I had to chose from my current line up, it would be my Barclay Apple rewards. Weird I know... But I have a lot of Apple products and it's useful in that aspect.)
Amex plat
Amex EDP
CSP
Ink+
Woo hoo I only have to SD two cards.
I don't count Amazon store card, it's not a CC, lol.
@jbsea wrote:I was just responding to a post and said that I could cut my cards down to four and be happy. So it got me thinking..... Of the curent cards that you already have, what 4 would you keep?
If I got rid of all but 4, I'd stick with:
1. Barclay SallieMae WMC
2. US Bank Cash+ VS
3. Discover it
4. BofA BBR
Runners-up: Amex BCE almost made the cut due to Amex Offers; I'm not happy with the rewards program otherwise. Cap One Quicksilver for flat rewards rate, ease of redemption, and dependability.
Hmm...
1. Citi Double Cash/Fidelity Visa Signature (same thing, different networks to me)
2. Chase Hyatt
3. American Express BCP
4. U.S. Bank Cash+
Next four would probably be: Citi Forward, Sallie Mae, Chase IHG, and Diners Club Premier.
Amex Delta Plat
CSP
Freedom Unlimited
Cap One QS
May sock drawer the QS and get a Discover It just to have a 5% cat card for the few times I use it. Plus I hear the portal is nice and I shop online quite a bit. Free credit score. I wish I hadn't gotten the QS now that the Unlimited has come out as it pairs great with the CSP.

I minimally need SIX
Discover It
Citi Double Cash
BofA Americard
Capital One
Barclays Sallie Mae
Chase
Me too.
I'm at my 6 cards minimum (5 if I don't count a heavy hitter AU card).
AMEX
Discover
BofA [AU status]
AT&T Universal
Fidelity FIA
BestBuy
I feel like this is changing for me all the time, with the exception of number 1, which is never leaving my wallet as long as it retains the current reward structure.
1. Sallie Mae
2. Freedom Unlimited
3. Discover It
4. Chase AARP/US Bank Cash + (I'm honestly torn between these two, so I'm dishonestly sneaking in five cards!)
