I need to get a real credit card. Right now I'm holding three new secured cards, with newly rehabbed credit - 698 EX, 707 TU, and 716 EQ. 3 car loans all paid up, and one line of credit at my credit union which isn't on my CRA yet. Only ding on my credit is one 30 - day late 13 months ago on an auto loan.

What I'm concerned about is having too many inquiries- I have 3 in the past 12 months, but I'd like to get a "real" credit card and increase my credit available. Any suggestions for one I should be able to get approved for?

A question about your EQ score......

How in the world do you go from 555 EQ to a whopping 714 EQ in 28 days???????????

It's a FAKO, but can get that sort of swing even on EQ Beacon 5 from the deletion of derogatory information.

@Revelate -

Yes, those are FAKO's. My EQ FICO08 is at 666 (should I take that as an Omen? No pun intended...) right now, which is still not too shabby, considering where it was a month and a half ago, and it's still on the upswing. You're also correct that the increase has been the result of deletion of derogs. I spent about a month obsessing over getting them off... DV'ing, PFD'ing, and disputing a few that were completely incorrect (one was literally 15 years old and still on my report, if you can believe that). Lots of very good help available on this board for anyone who wants to get serious about this kind of stuff. 800 may be a while, but I think most anyone can be over 700 in a few months no problem.
