Congrats! If I were you, I would put your tuition on the Green card (as long as you can pay it off in a month!!!) and then use the BCP for everything else to hit the bonus quota.

Thanks.  I will definitely be gardening for an indefinite time period...

Not even sure that I will try for PenFed next year, as there's really no need.  I now have a good mix of cards with nice rewards/BT options, and with the AMEX/Citi cards I can get regular SP CLIs.  Oh yes, don't forget the SP CLI on my GE cards, too... Smiley Happy

Mr points is worth .02-.03 cents when used properly as airlines miles or hotel points. Otherwise you are lucky to be able to get .01 in gift cards. So will you earn enough to get a flight? Otherwise the blue cash rewards is easier to get and more tangible. If not sure, I would just do the blue cash. You might want to do one month of expenses on green to build npsl limit. Pay it as often as you need. Your internal limit will skyrocket.

Thanks, crashem.

I don't have a lot of expenses I can put on the Green right now, as most of my income is going toward paying off debt.  However, I most likely will pay the tuition with that card, and at least show that I have no problem paying off that amount.  May also find a couple of incidental things and get it pushed up to around $3000 charged/paid off in the first month.

After that, though, I will most likely use the BCP exclusively to get the rewards through December.  The beginning of next year is when I will have extra money to charge things ( lots of car stuff coming up next spring - timing belt, brakes, new tires, new turbo) and pay them off immediately - I can easily see that being $3-4000 at one time.
