Re: What about Barclays makes the trouble worth it?

For those with BK, Barclays is one of the few decent Cards one could apply for. Quite generous with Credit limits and can grow with you if managemed properly. There are not so many BK friendly Credit cards out there anymore.

Re: What about Barclays makes the trouble worth it?

Someone who has entered Primeville such as yourself Duncan, especially someone who has a habit of apping, probably wouldn't bother.  But it's a decent in between option.  I'm probably several years away from a decent Chase or Amex, but I can see getting a Barclay's with decent CL, no AF, within the next year or so depending.  I also don't app alot, I have 2 HPs in the last 36 months.

How would you know if you had 2hps in 36 months? Don't hps fall off after 24 mos? Lol

I liked Barclay's bc of recon ability, bt offer, and the fact that I could get my first Amex w them as I knew the real Amex prob wouldn't approve me hhah!

I don't mean what's reporting, I mean what's actually happened.  I don't plan on "app sprees" until I have a decent shot at getting approved for multiple cards.

Re: What about Barclays makes the trouble worth it?

YMMV .. but for me, no AF, Frontier miles, good BT offer and no interest for over a year.  I got a nice cli after 6 months (I requested) and I've had no issues.  I've apped for 2 cards after my Barclay, but no issues with that so far either.
