They pull your recent credit repot but only you and them can see that inquiry being made.

I think I've read in the past that some people have been denied because Amex will use a credit report from the previous month or something like that (before they had paid down balances).

Well when I app'd for the BCP my Ex score was 714, so If your Ex score is close to your Eq then you should be good, hopefully you get a better Apr than me though!

I found with Amex that if you apply for new credit, they sp a current report, but if you request a cli they use the last report they happened to have sp'd for 'account maintanance'.
