I have my Zync since September 2012, ran about $1,200-1,400 through the card each month since then, and have paid in full when the statement closes. My Util right now is 35% . Oldest card on Credit Reports is Capital One (1 Year and two months), and I opened my Discover IT back in September 2012 as well. No baddies on my reports. I also have two student loans (government ones) showing on my reports, but they are deferment. Do you think I have a good chance for the Amex BCE? If not, how about the PRG? I can settle in opening the PRG right now (the fee is waived for the first year), then wait until my approval chances for BCE is better (then cancel the PRG).
I have been taking advantage of Zync's Eco pack, but since Amex is now canceling their Zync packs in April, I need another card that will earn me double points or rewards.
What you have listed seems that you have a very good chance at getting approved assuming your overall utilization is low and your Zync does not have a hard limit.
But why would you want to close the Zync Unicorn? Its very rare! Until AMEX tells me they must cancel it then I shall let it go.
