Re: What are my chances of getting approved for the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card?

You need to get your credit limits above $5000 before applying for the CSP.  Chase does not like to be the first card issuer to give you a limit higher than $5k.  They will, however, follow suit if they see someone else has given you, say a $10k limit.  Are you a member of a credit union?  If so, apply there first as they tend to be more generous with credit lines.

Re: What are my chances of getting approved for the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card?

My highest credit limit is 4900. That's not close enough? How would I go about being able to get my credit limit increased?

also, if I'm not above 5,000, does that mean they just flat out wont approve me?

thanks for the info btw!
