PC - Product Change.

This is when your asking for a different credit card product from the same creditor you have a card with to replace your current card.

Re: What are the abbreviations

That link probably needs more explanations than simple decoding of acronyms!  So as LS says,

PC: This is when your asking for a different credit card product from the same creditor you have a card with to replace your current card.

And, why should you care part:  Usually, when you get a PC, you will not need a hard pull (they use the same credit line, just the card changes).  On the downside, you will usually not got any sign-up bonuses associated with the new card.
