What can you tell me about the Walmart card other than the free scores?

Other than the free TU score - what can you guys tell me about the walmart card? benefits to having the card other than the scores and the fact that it eventually could become a discover backed card.

Do you get discounts in store or something?

I have 2 cards now (both CAP 1) I'll be keeping 1 active forever since its a rewards card with no AF (I read on here its not anything they offer anymore). The other one I have just so I have 2 revolving trade lines going at once and will drop once I get ANYTHING better coming my way so I'm not looking to App now - but thinking for closer to later this year or next year. In no rush I just see alot of people suggest it.

I know I'm not in prime territory just curious as to the benefits of the card since I life about 100 yards for a walmart and it gets pretty much all mys shopping except for groceries since they are actually more expensive on most things I buy than the local Aldi.

Re: What can you tell me about the Walmart card other than the free scores?

There really aren't many benefits to the card other than the free TU FICO.  It has financing offers and gas discounts at Walmart gas stations.  I have the Discover version which also offers 1% cash back after spending over $3000. I only use it for the free FICO score

Starting Score (January 2013): TU: 704, EQ: 679, EX: 687
Current Score (September 2013): TU: 741. EQ: 703, EX: 712
Goal Score: 730 Across the Board

They do offer holiday deferred interest shopping every year, you just need to print off the voucher and have the cashier scan it. Look for it being advertising online while logged in.
