What card should I get as my first credit card?

I don't understand the argument... If you miss payments they will want to resolve it... If that's not understood you should get credit cards.
Many of us have had missteps but slamming a creditor for wanting to resolve delinquencies is out of line.

As they should. We dont encourage people to miss payments and default here. If you go delinquent you should expect to be hunted to the ends of the earth. All creditors  would do the same.

Contrary to what everyone seems to be recommending, I would go with Capital One.
