Can someone recommend any?
I'd like no annual fee, and at least a 4-5k limit.
Unfortunately, I dont think you will be able to find that kind of limit unless you have a very high income. You need to include more info so people can try to help. aaoa/income/whats your report look like?
Thanks for the quick response.
Income last year was 67k, report is clean, no collections, past dues.
It sounds like you are fairly new to credit? What cards do you have and what are their CLs?
Yep, pushed the credit "restart" button a year ago and now have the courage to apply for cards again. I need them as I'm applying for a mortgage soon. I just have a 5k limit navy federal cash rewards cc that I've had open since December, a 300 and a 250 limit First premier cc's.
Sounds like youre in much better shape than I first thought. That Navy card will help show other lenders you are able to handle those kind of limits. Often times they compete with eachother by giving similar lines.
I would wait until that nfcu turns 6 months and check your score again. I bet you will be high enough to get something like Discover. Nothing increases those scores like time!
Creditboards.com has a credit pull database and you can see the scores others had when applying for particular cards.
You should get rid of the First Premier cards ASAP. Their fees are exhorbitant and since you have a Navy Federal card, you don't really need them.
