Re: What credit card approves with Equifax but reports to all 3 bureaus?

Both my local CU's have pulled Experian exclusively.

I recommend Alliant CU (available nationwide) - they pull EQ.

And I still like Cabela's - which pulls EQ.

All my GEMB merchant cards pull EQ, but I'm not a super fan of merchant cards unless they serve a useful purpose i.e. you shop there a lot and they give discounts or some such.

Interesting.  Cabelas pulled EX for me.  They pulled EX when I first opened it.  Then, a few months ago, there was a fraud alert and they said they were going to close that account and open a new one. So, they closed the account, and then they pulled EX again and denied me the new account :smileymad:  I think they just made up the fraud issue (it was for a $2 cup of coffee somewhere) to give them an excuse to close my account.

Also, GEMB pulled TU for me when I applied for a Lowe's CC.  I think they pulled EQ when I got my Wal Mart CC, though.

Ultimately, I don't think there is any rhyme or reason to who pulls what when.  Local credit unions appear pretty easy to pattern, but geographic location seems to determine what they pull.

I guess that narrows my list down to Alliant.  :smileyindifferent:

So, OP is in Indiana.  Anyone from that area that knows who pulls EQ???

Thanks guys. I eneded up getting an Orchard card while in Alabama so they only pulled my EQ. they gave me a small balance of $300 but 6 months later, my Trans Union is up and at 705. Now I think i can go on to a bigger (and BETTER) card.

This is 100% not true.

Discover does not pull exclusively from any of the bureau's. They have been known to pull bureau's more by region, but this theory is also not full proof.
