What happened to those two PNC Travel Rewards with EMV?

I was browsing the PNC credit cards website. I didn't find those two traveler rewards cards. It was introduced six months ago.  The cards had EMV chip.

That was thread:

I clicked this link:

PNC Premier TravelerSM Visa Signature Credit Card

It came back with the following message:

The product is not available.

Exactly that. PNC removed the products for reasons that I do not know. The employee I spoke with speculated lack of interest from consumers.

Well that is interesting.  I remember they had quite a few more CC choices on the site a while back.  Maybe the volume wasn't there to justify continuing the program?

I'm new to the credit game, so I don't know all of PNC's previous cards. I know they had an Everyday Rewards card at one point. That may have been a long time ago.

They were good cards to have. I think AF is kind of high compared to Amex and other issuers.
