Lots of things can trigger AA. Some of the most common include a lot of recent inquiries, a lot of recently opened accounts, late payments, sharp downward decrease in credit scores, rapidly increasing balances on credit cards, making the minimum payment on a balance for an extended period of time, lender overexposure (that is to say, that the lender feels like they've extended you too much credit already), vast deviation from normal spending/repayment patterns, and gross abuse of the rewards structure of the card (if you have questions about this, ask in a PM). This is by no means an exhaustive list.

It continues to report like always. You just can't use it for new charges.
