B&N was on that list but they came through with an increase from 250 to 1000, that was all I asked for.
Others above would not.

Started the 2013 shred-a-thon myself today!
Axed:
Credit One: $700
On Deck:
Macy's: $100 (had for almost three years...no increase)
Orchard: $400 (Over three years old, only 100 CLI last week via EO). May wait until transition is complete and see what they can do for me
OpenSky: $1000 (My first card in the rebuild process. It'll be nice to get that deposit back)
Best Buy Rewards Zone MC - $500.00
Nothing yet, but I'm lining up the uglies. LOL!
Cap 1 - 750.00
Cap 1 - 900.00 (Formerly HSBC)
Cap 1 - 2300.00 (Formerly Household Bank)
I'm just waiting to see what (if anything) happens after the merge is complete.
Both of my Comenity Bank Cards:
Abercrombie and Fitch - $250
American Signature Furniture - $2k
They were going to shut down the American Signature card anyway because GECRB will be the new servicer. I just beat them to it is all.
I had a shred-fest 2 weeks ago with the following:
Applied Bank - $2,450
Credit 1 Bank - $1,950
First National - $2450
Legacy Visa(First National) - $2500
First Premier Bank - $1950
First Premier Bank- $1750
Household Bank - $800
I have a Household Bank account and it's got 2% cash back on everything, no limit, plus no annual fee. Recently got a CLI through the EO, and it's still my lowest limit card, but I figure in 5 more months, I can justify getting a much higher CLI. APR is decent at 14.99%, but as I never carry a balance, I don't care much for the APR.
Unless you have another 2% card to replace it, I wouldn't recommned closing it.
Orchard. Just this morning. No rewards. Opened in 2011. They offered to raise CL and wave AF of $49 but I only used it one time last year. (Because I left my phone case home and it was in a side pocket of my purse.) so I just went ahead and closed. Mostly due to no rewards and low CL.
