I don't know if I should apply for the TD Bank card I've been wanting along with the Freedom card or just stick to my plan of Discover and Chase first.

You can apply for both at the same time (when the time is right of course). Just know that Chase can double-pull and are typically EX/TU pullers. Discover can pull EQ or TU.
