Does anyone know what Barclay's CLI policy is? Do they auto CLI after a certain period? When can you request a CLI and is it a SP or HP?
The best way to get a CLI without a HP, is to call and see if there are any offers for an APR reduction. If there is, the ask if there are any offers for an increase. If so, no HP 😁
I received both at 6 months.
The best way to get a CLI is to close your Barclays and open a Discover account!😝

Lol! Unless, of course, you're on the Disco slow train like me!

+1 me too, but at 5 months. 4 point APR reduction and $1000 CLI. The rep offered me the CLI, I didn't even have to ask. Good luck, OP!
I'm thinking about closing my Barclay card. I have plenty of other cards and I don't really need it.
A Barclays CLI is dependent on you having no other cards with any other bank. They'll throw you a bone once a year in the form of $500 if you pay in full every month on your $1,500 card. They'll soft pull you 300 days in that 365 day period. If you purchase more than a case of water at CVS they will CLD you to $10. GTH Barclays.

@sjt - Barclay gets a bad rap, some of it warranted some of it not so much. Here's the nuts and bolts.
Option 1: wait for SP auto increase, there doesn't appear to be much of a pattern however. Some people get them with little use others with lots of swipes and paying in full.
Option 2: Every 6 months call customer service and ask "Are there any offers to lower my interest rate?" in most cases you will be transferred to a "Specialist" who will lower the purchase rate usually 1-3 points. Some times you need to ask this "Specialist" if you qualify for a "Soft Pull Credit Line Increase" other times they may just offer it right away. SP CLI's are pretty decent (most of the time).
Option 3: You can request a CLI online or over the phone. This will be a HP on TU. There is a waiting period between CLI requests. If you accept a SP increase from a specialist, then try to request a regualr HP CLI within 30 days, the HP CLI will be an instant decline with no HP taking place. However a specialist can overturn this and process the HP CLI request manually if you call in. If you request a HP CLI the waiting period can be anywhere from 30 to 180 days before you can request another HP CLI. Here are a couple of posts about my Barclay journey so far.

+2 on this. They dropped the APR to 10.24% and the nice old lady asked if I wanted a CLI as well. Bumped from $10,000 to $14,000. Don't recall if I tried again after that or not.
