What is FIA

Very often I see FIA mentioned in conjunction with BOA.  What is FIA?

It is a subsidiary owned by BOA. They created it when BOA bought MBNA. For all practical purposes FIA is BOA.

I just app'd and rec'd the BoA Rewards Amex - it specifically says...

"This credit card program is issued and administered by FIA Card Services, N.A."  I don't have any experience with it yet, but the advertised card says BoA on the front, not FIA.

Not that I know of -- hopefully someone with the card can chime in.

My FIA-issued BofA Amex and VISA both state BofA on the card - and BofA on my credit reports.

I received a BOA Gold Visa a few months ago. One of the hard pulls was from FIA and the other from BOA. In fine print on all of my information it says it's administered by FIA, but the card says BOA and customer service is BOA etc...

I have received a line of credit pre-approval from FIA for up to $50,000 and I'm considering applying...
