Basically catalog orders!!! www.fingerhut.com also its financed thru chase i believe! and they do report to the credit Bureau

Yeah, but they pretty much only sell crap, and you can't use the account anywhere else. I guess if you're in credit rebuilding mode it might be helpful, but aside from that purpose, I wouldn't bother.

I don't even think it's that great for credit rebuilding. Fingerhut, IMHO, is comparable to rent a center. You overpay for the luxury to be able to make payments in installments. So in the end you pay a lot more than if you had saved up and bought the stuff elsewhere.

My girlfriend used to buy items from them in college because the minimum payments were very small but she was paying for it for a long time. I thought their stuff was crap as well.

Fingerhut is decent for people who are rebuilding, but yes, as soon as you can pay your stuff off and get a conventional credit card, by all means do so.

They only report to EQ, and will start you out at a very low CL.

They charge terrible s/h fees too. I did like this small desk, but wasn't going to pay $75.00 (or something like that) for shipping on a cheapo desk.
