What is so special about the Walmart CC

Ok, I have searched the forums trying to find out why everyone is so up in arms about this card. The only thing I can see is the free score and possibly the auto CLI. None the less I don't see how any of that is worth it at 22.9%

So what is it about this card that is such a big deal?

GE is outstanding with CLIs and also the free monthly TU08 makes it worth it to me.

My local Walmart always has the 12 months  0% APR sign at the registers if you spend $299 or more so in my case that makes the card good. Of course the free TU score is a plus. I agree it would not be a good card to revolve a balance at the regular APR.

To add on to what @calihlove75 and @beb86 are saying, you also get to use your Walmart card in Sam's for added convinience. I just did all of my Thankgiving shopping between the two. By the way Happy Thanksgiving!!!

+1  and interest free deals, I have gotten to the point where I don't use the card much... But have though about the $429 electronic purchase with 0% interest for 18 months. But haven't really found electronics I need currently... and everything  else on the same recent gets 0% interest for the 18 months. So could do my full christmas shopping with 0% interest.

- Reasonably easy to qualify for

Only 3 of those are made up.

Not an issue when you PIF.

best credit cards give you around $300 to 600 in bonuses. high credit limits for your utility 0% financing on bigger things and gas and can graduate to a discover. not mamy sotre cards can graduate. but $240 in fico scores a year is worth while
