What is the Highest limit for Lowes

I got a pre-approval for a Lowes card a couple of days ago.  It said that I am preapproved to receive a credit line up to $700.  Now, I have nothing but luv for GEMB at this point as they gave me a 1K CLI on my Care Credit about a month and a half ago, but I also read the fine print.  It said on the back that if you are approved, the minimum CL you will receive is $300.  This makes me not want to apply, but if my current relationship (which is in very good standing) helps, I was thinking that they might start me off at the high end.  What do you guys think?

Also, since it gave me this range, I was wondering if this is one of their product tiers (between $700 and $300).  Lowes has to go higher than that right?

Of course, I'd rather have HD, but I am scared to touch CITI since I have a settled CO from 2005 with them.

Re: What is the Highest limit for Lowes

I have a Lowes card.  It started at 725 and stayed there for over 3 years until I clicked the magic button, then it went to 1200.  I've never had any problems with them.  It's been a good card for buying stuff for the house.  :smileywink:

Re: What is the Highest limit for Lowes

I wanted to take advantage of Lowe's 12 months no payments/interest so I applied for their card in December. I was given a credit limit of $15,000. The lady in customer service said she had never seen a credit limit that high. My parents have a CL of $10,000 with Lowe's.

Re: What is the Highest limit for Lowes

I have a Lowes visa with a 5k cl. It originally was a cap1 lowes, then they sold it off to gemb. I've had it for about 5 yrs now.

What was the limit when it was sold to GEMB and when did cap 1 sell their accounts to GEMB?

Any CLI's since they sold it?  Darn, I just missed the cap1 train on that...erghhh!!!!  I don't have anything bad to say about GEMB, though.  Everyone just says their stingy.
