I applied every month as well. It's a soft pull and they don't hold it against you! I got the approval after my sixth statement had cut.

The limit on the discover was only $1,700.00 and 3.99% APR for the first six months. That seems to be their alternative program approval. She stated it was because of the number of recent inquiries. She thought I was shopping for cards. I told her absolutely not. I knew what I wanted and take hard inquiries on my bureau very seriously.
