Has anyone heard of American Express offering low (under 10%) APR for purchases or cash advances without transfer fees? No! Terms & Conditions matter more than accessibility to a brand card.

Not everyone is looking for low APR and cash advances. Amex has good customer service, good CLI policies, and many of their cards have good rewards.

Agreed. My first AMEX will be a charge card, so I don't care about balance transfer or APR.
OP, check www.whogavemecredit.com for details on what scores and what bureaus people got approved at. From what I've seen scores matter less than derogs (to a point obviously). Someone with scores ranging from 650-690 may not have an issue.

if you get lucky you can get one as low as 620 in some cases, all depends but remembe Fico score is unjustifiably violatile.
If you have a 800 score one 30 day late payment can hurt 130 points and take 3-4 years to recover, while a 690 would hurt for 90-100 points and tae 9 months to recover, the better the credit the higher the fall. So if you have a very good report with only a couple small mistakes more than 2 years ago anyone would be dumb not to take you as long as it's unpaid collections or charge offs which Amex really hates.

I don't know what my score was when they approved the Zync 2 years ago because they don't give the score for a charge card approval. But, I was approved for the BCE with a 687 Fico EX score. I was probably around 660-670 at the time I got the Zync.
