Well, it's only 2 birds, 1 is red and 1 is blue ;-)
Amex Blue Sky- Any amex deals that pply to the card/ cellphone/ general purchases
Bank of America BBR: any bank of america deals for restaurants or stores
Bank of America Cash rewards: Gas, Groceries only
Marriott: Restaurants/Marriott
Ritz Carlton: Restaurants/Marriott also airlne tickets and expensive gadgets
these two i use for the same but i usually use the RC card unless i dont want something going on the statement before it cuts, i use the marriott card then.
Discover Miles, Fid Amex, NASA: Amex gift cards
OBC: Actual groceries and drig stores, + gas
Cash Plus: Vet + Cell phone
Citi Forward: Dining, Amazon
Everything else: Discover Miles, or if not accepted, Double Cash
I'm quite embarassed to say I dont have a stragedy in place...but then again I've never had any cards with rewards. Prior to joining myfico, my wallet consisted of:
Barclay Mastercard $1750
Capital One Platinum $2250
capital One (prev Orchard Bank) $750
Capital One $750
First Premier $425
Since joining myfico, my wallet now consist of the previously mentioned, in addition:
Barclay Ring $500
PenFed Promise $17,000
PenFed Rewards $5,000
Sallie Mae: 5% groceries, gas, and Amazon
Amex TE: 2% dining, 1% Costco
Discover It: 5% rotating categories, most non-Amazon online purchases through Discover Deals
Venture One: misc.general spend
Amazon Visa: balance transfers.

Thank you guys for sharing your tactics. I may be supposed to get a Sallie Mae for grocery purchases like some of you guys do, although I'm not a student any more.
