Eek - I just checked my post-0% apr and it's 18.99% beginning May 2014. I have been carrying a balance since I got it (April) but I've just PIF. Of course, I don't plan on paying interest (I'm avoiding it like the plague) but I will follow suit with others and ask to have the interest lowered.
My AmEx BCE is @ 8.24%

That's a sweet APR for an AmEx!!!
18.99%
My AMEX APRs are all over the place:
Delta Gold 14.5
Hilton 14.2
BCP eeeekkk 22.24
I don't care because I don't use AMEX to revolve a balance.
@lionsfan20 wrote:So I have the BCE and my 0 % promo just ended and my new apr is 20.24 percent. I called up to see what they could do and they told me that I have the highest and that unless amex changes the rate for everyone , mine wont change. They also said the lowest for my card is 15.2% and that the rewards cards have alot higher aprs.
Just wondering if the lady was clueless and what everyone else's is because 20% is a joke.
APR ranges are on AmEx's site if you click on the terms for the cards. BCE currently ranges from 12.99% to 21.99%:
Rewards cards do come with higher APR's. You don't get something for nothing. If you want a lower APR then look at bare bones credit cards. Also look into improving your credit as your specific APR will be determined based on your credit.
My BCP will be 14.99% once the introductory 0% runs out. TE will be 15.25% once it's introductory 0% runs out.
@lionsfan20 wrote:As for your dumb comment , I could care less about 20 bucks a month in interest , I just think with my credit profile , I deserved a better APR . All there was to it.
"Could care less" is the opposite of what you actually mean. It's "couldn't care less". Be careful calling others dumb.
Mine will be 19.99% after intro. I did get an offer for the BCE @ 12.99% but I already had the card.
