Sounds like the same ratio for my cash advance limit to original credit limit.

As stated above it's not unusal for cash advance limits to not grow with CLI's.
Isn't it ridiculously expensive to take a cash advance on a credit card? I don't think mine grew with the credit limit.
I just checked, my Cash advance limit is $400...out of a $24,000 CL.
Chase OTOH automatically makes 20% of CL available as cash.
NFCU lets you do a cash advance on your entire CL.

I don't really care, as I don't intend to ever use a cash advance, but it just seemed bizarre that my cash limit would be less than a percent of my credit limit.
I have two AMEXes, a BCE with a $600 Cash Advance limit (original CL $2800, current CL $4300), and a Blue Sky with $1k CA Limit ($5K CL).
That being said, I don't think I'd ever take a CA on an AMEX with a 25.24% APR. I have the Barclaycard Ring at 8% with a $1 or $3 fee (don't remember which at the moment).

Yep, I will try almost anything rather than take an Amex cash advance... However, I would still prefer owing that money to Amex, rather than to one of them MSer vegetarian with an attitude... Ouch!
Well, it's your lucky day. Just checked our "Blood-crazed animal killers who owe decent Vegan folk money" ledger AND the "Blood-crazed animal killers who owe less than decent Vegan folk money" and it turns out you don't owe us any money!

Yes, just today I had to go to the DMV to get a TN title made into a NC title and they wanted a $5 notary fee that had to be paid in cash.
Had to go to the gas station and pull $20 out on my Barclaycard since I had forgot my debit card at home(30 min away and I was on lunch break).
Stupid cash only polices ruin everything, I was quite irate.
Bad idea not to have cash on ya... I always have at least $20.
I don't leave home without it...

So does Barclays... $1340 of my $6700 CL on Sallie Mae is available for cash.
No idea with it is on my $5k Amex, but I'd guess it's low... I entered $1500 and $1000 in the spend ability check and it said no... then temporarily locked me out so I'm gonna guess it's like $200 or something... LOL
CU is where it's at... $8500 with BECU and all is available for cash.
CL $11.3K Cash Advance Limit $2.3K

Apparently, some people still traumatized, since childhood, from seeing Bambi's mom get her due.... and they process their pain by pacing all day inside groceries stores and buying gift cards... it's all very sad....
