Most cards with balances are promos. I use AMEX Gold and Discover for main cards. Waiting for 2002 BK to fall off in July to try for a Citi or Chase card. I may combine the Barclay cards into one if they let me, because I never use the MC. I keep the HSBC Discover hoping they will one day raise the limit back to the 5K it was prior to mass CLD's they did when the economy crashed in 2007. If not, that's another one on the chopping block.

I feel like such an amateur listing my current cards with everybody having all these cards with awesome limits LOL But I am rebuilding mode and hope to have at least 8 by next year with respectable limits. Here is where I am at now:
Paypal Smart connect: $800
Cap One Secured: $651
Orchard Bank: $300
Cap One No Hassles Rewards: $500
Current utilization is at 3%
The No hassles card and the Orchard bank card are new I was just approved for them two weeks ago!! Considering what my financial situation was this time last year it feels awesome to have these available to me because I was getting denied left and right and my CR was horrendous. But thanks to this site, a new job, paying old debts and starting off slow with a secured card I am slowly working my way up to the 700 club and I hope in the future I can post a long list of cards with sweeet limits!! :-)

Gotta start (or restart ) somewhere. Just over 10 years ago I only had a debit card as I just came out of BK... started out with cap one, hsbc, applied bank, then some of the store cards and to be honest, I've really just started getting some nice cards and limits the last few years. Seemed like after I was approved for my first Amex and that reported for a few months everyone else came a knockin..
Give it time and your garden will grow!

DO you know what they pull? EQ or EX? They do give the monthly EQ so Im assuming thats what they use.
EQ only although they hit it twice. Very odd application process compared to others. I applied and then on the phone was told I was approved for the card. Then a few days later they called me and said that the application was in fact denied by whomever handles their cards. Okay, no big deal, move on to the next card... A month goes by and they call me to ask if I am going to sign the paperwork to allow them to send out my card? Very confused at that point so I explained that I was told I was not getting the card. Response was "oh, no we approved your application and just need the paperwork signed and faxed". Okay, signed and faxed and they send me the card.
I like getting the free monthly EQ but they are not the most professional of banks. They are always real nice on the phone but they kind of remind me of when my sister and I use to play bank as kids.
