My TU report shows 60 accounts right now, but Ron1 is over 100.
#1: Navy CashRewards
#2: Capital One QuickSilver
#3: a card that is set to go inactive. (just used my old BoA/FIA "Interval" card this week to keep it active) Use it once, then back in the SD.
There's the whole collection of cards with special perks - office supplies, home improvement, gasoline, grocery, drugstore, ebates, upromise, mypoints, restaurants, etc.
As soon as it arrives:
1. Citi Prestige
Then:
2. CSP or AMEX Everyday Preferred
Misc:
3. BOA Cash Rewards or PNC Cash Builder
4. Discover
1. Barclaycard Arrival Plus (just got it, bonus already met)
2. Wells Fargo Platinum Visa (for any purchases paid over time--6.25 percent regular APR)
3. Citgo (for gas--I don't drive that much and I like getting the lower prices by using the card)
4. Kohl's (no interest if 1/3 of balance paid each month)
5. Amazon (only for special financing)
6. Lowe's (only for special financing)
7. Simmons First Platinum Visa (if I need a balance transfer or cash advance)
8. Chase Slate (got a large-ish balance I'm paying off at 4.99 percent, but regular APR isn't that great)
My many other cards don't really get used.
My go to card is target! I want to pay everything down to 0 because my utilization rate is improving but still at about 40-50 percent which is not where it should be. Im a spender so for me keeping things under control is crucial right now. Plus, who doesnt like 5% off
