Both of my Chase cards have 20% of CL available for cash advance. I looked at some of my other cards and for the most part, 20% is fairly common. Funny thing on my Cap One Quicksilver - I have 100% available for cash advance.
Cap1: 83%
Discover: 15%
Chase: 20%

Only know this quirk about Amex off the top of my head
1st revolver was 20% of starting CL and stayed the same after 3x clu
2nd revolver 20% of starting CL
So apparently they will give you 20% of your first CA and that's where it stays.
Well that explains my amex. When i opened it, the ca limit was also 20% and hasn't changed after 2 CLI. Thanks.
Also looks like chase is 20% for everyone, so my 50% was likely a fluke that chase finally got around to fixing in their system.
Big thanks to everyone

I also have 100% cash advance capability on my CapOne Quicksilver ($15k of $15k CL). They raised my CL on their own ! a couple of months ago, and before they did that the cash advance capability was 50% ($5k of $10k). Not that I'm going to use all that, but I did do a large CA once to take advantage of a quick opportunity, knowing I could BT the balance immediately afterward to avoid the awful CA interest.
My Chase cards have always been at 20%.
My Barclays is at 40%
My discover CA capability seems to be a fixed amount. It's been at $4.2k for years, even as my CL has grown.
I just noticed tonight that my cash advance limit on my Chase Airtrain Visa was reduced from $1870 to $983. There should be no reason to do this. My balance is $0. I have sent them a message to ask why.
@SomeGuyNamedFred wrote:I could swear my chase freedom had always had a cash advance limit of 50% of my total CL. Today I noticed it was now 20%. I'm wondering why the change? The only thing out of the ordinary on my credit reports is that I just recently got a 2X CLI on my Amex (i asked for 2X, didn't want the full 3X), and I also allowed a balance to report on two cards. My util was still below 5%, however i usually only let a balance report on just one card, with the rest zero.
Just to be clear, I would NEVER ever ever take a cash advance, so it doesn't really matter what the limit is, but it seems like an adverse action, which makes me feel a little less loved....
I checked my Amex card and the cash advance limit is only 3% of my total limit, again not gonna use it, but is this a sign of a lack ot trust?
Curious what others' cash advance limits are....
100 % 20k credit limit, 20k cash avail with Penfed Amex 9.9 % credit and cash
Here are my CA limits:
Discover: $1400/2750 (~51%)
Citi: $1200/4000 (30%)
AMEX Blue Sky: $1000/5000 (20%)
AMEX Blue Cash: $600/4300 (~14%)
Barclaycard Ring: 400/1000 (40%)
Sallie Mae: 400/1000 (40%)
BoA Cash Rewards 200/2500 (8%)
BoA Better Balance 200/1000 (20%)
I wouldn't actually consider taking a cash advance on any card other than my Ring, since the APRs on all of the other cards are around 25% for cash advances. The Ring is 8%.
