DIdn't mean that. More, getting 1 or 2 cards from major issuer X might be much less value than getting 3rd or fourth cards from major issuer Y. So, at least in my case, I see no value in a card from Wells Fargo, but with your goal I would "have" to get one anyway.
(And some minors DO have the best niche cards, e.g. Penfed Cash Rewards for year-round uncapped 5% gas.)
