I'm looking to book a flight  to Europe on AA that goes for 60k miles, I'm thinking on apping for the Citi Advantage Platinum Select and meet the spending to get the 50K miles, then purchase the last 10K in order to book the flight. My question is, is there a better deal/option out there for this scenario?

Why not the US Airways WMC? 50K miles with one purchase and paid AF of $89.

They will become AA miles soon.

How many people have you convinced to do this dude?

Enough that I regret not including a referral link with each post. Smiley Wink

Meh not me, I will save my TU and next Barclay's card for the SM or Ring Smiley Happy..  Great signup, after that it is obviously a useless card for most

Yes and no. With the 10K anniv bonus it's totally useful to me. Smiley Happy

I'm going to see if I get auto CLI on it and the SM on 6/7th statements and then move some CL's around a bit.
