Re: What's your Discover CLI history?

Either I haven't had my card long enough, or Discover just doesn't like me very much.Smiley Sad  I opened my Discover on May 1, 2015 with a $1250 CL. After 6 months (Nov 15) I requested through the luv button a CLI and they approved a CLI of $1000. Making my CL $2250. Then, Jan 2016, I hit the button and was declined. Reason stated that not enough time with current credit limit, or something to that extent.

Not sure how these every 30 day CLI's are getting through, but seems to not work for me.

Scores as of Jan 2016 are TU-703, EQ-712, EX-645.

Re: What's your Discover CLI history?

I had a 2000 cli automatically on my second statement. I had a starting limit of 4000 and I had a balance of 1900 sitting on the card - taking advantage of the first year 0% apr. After my second statement they emailed me and raised my limit to 6000.

Baller, those first five of yours look eerily similar to mine.

Re: What's your Discover CLI history?

Opened April 2013: $750
HP CLI November 2013: $2k
Auto CLI May 2014: $5.7k
SP CLIs
September 2014: $7k
December 2014: $8.5k
March 2015: $10k
April 2015: $11.5k
May 2015: $13k, $14.5k
June 2015: $16k
September 2015: $19k
November 2015: $25k

The CLI button was due for some pushing last week but I wasn't sure how Discover handles requests when the CL is at $25k. Declared income is $55k but I really don't want to go through the hassle of tax documents and bank statements. Also, don't need a CLI right now. But you know, the itch can be back any time.

BTW I'm also carrying a balance, typically between $2k-$2.5k over the past 10-11 months because of the 2nd term 0% promo APR. PIF once around the 6 months mark then built up again. They seem to be okay with it. I generally pay off a third and rack it up again.

Re: What's your Discover CLI history?

The gravy train never bothered to stop by and pick me up.  I opened this card like 2 years ago with $3k limit.  Now fast-forward to today and I'm still only at $3300, with the 300 being an Auto CLI.  Discover always rejects my SP CLI requests.  Discover hath no mercy; they really do hate me. Re: What's your Discover CLI history?

They just gave me a CLI of 6,000 so my limit is now 20,500. I got the two day message. Insane. I just put 10 grand through the card within the last few months (wedding) so maybe that's why.
