Fuel, Groceries, & Amazon.com: Sallie Mae MC (5%)
Internet Bill: BoA Better Balances Rewards (~11%)
For items where I want more purchase protection, e.g. consumer electronics: Amex BCE (1%)
Everything Else: Priceline Visa (2%)
Sock drawer: Quicksilver
Earlier in the thread I saw some people mentioning that the Sallie Mae MC doesn't work with Amazon Market Place. I just put in about ten orders at Amazon.com, two of which were at Amazon Market Place, and all of them received 5% cashback. IIRC they were all prime-elligible, if that matters.
Anyway, just another data point.
Cellphone - usbank Cash+ (5%)
Fast food - usbank Cash+ (5%)
Online shopping - Discover It (5% through 4th quarter)
Amazon.com - Freedom (5% through 4th quarter)
Grocery store - BCE (3%)
Dining - Barclaycard Arrival or CS (2%)
Gas - BCE or Arrival (2%)
Travel -Arrival or CS (2%)
All other purchases - Arrival (2%)
I may get the Sallie Mae next year for the 5% CB on gas when Freedom and It's rotating categories are something else. I have roommates so I don't spend too much at the grocery, so SM will be better there too.

You receive 11% back on that card? Interesting...

I assume that is including the bonus for paying ontime, greater than minumum? Not a whole lot of relation to the actual charge
Rotating Categories: freedom and discover
groceries: bce
gas:bce
restaurants: csp
travel: csp
everything else: csp
my question is, for categories is 5% always better than 2x with csp? like i know 5 is greater than 2, but is cash back at certain point not as good as 2x points with csp? casue for the months that categories are good for freedom, ill go with freedom > discover. but for example: jan-mar on discover is retaurants 5%. should i opt to use the discover then? or do i try to get as much as i can with csp/freedom..
