Both open and closed accounts factor into AAoA (average age of accounts), AoYa (age of youngest account) and AoOA (age of oldest account). It's that way in both FICO and VantageScore models. Some monitoring sites, most notably Credit Karma, get this wrong. That's not a function of any score. Rather, it's misleading information presented by the monitoring site's software.
