I end up using a balance transfer offer about once a year on the Slate so if that is appealing to you, it might be worth keeping around.
The balance transfers are one reason to keep the Slate around. Last year I received a bonus offer for gas and groceries that I used.
I didn't try for the Slate; the card started out as a buy.com (now Rakuten) Visa.
Depending on how close you are to 24 months, maybe that's a good goal to shoot for. Perhaps add the CSP if you're interested.
If nothing else, it's a no annual fee card that will help your AAoA improve.
I think the Slate card is worth keeping for the FICO score and regular balance transfer offers. I have had the card for ten years without even one CLI (grrr), but I keep it because I like having good BT options that don't require opening a new account.
