What should I do?

Hello everyone,

I have been getting pre offers from Chase for the past few months now and I'm thinking about applying but I need some advice.

The offers are for both the freedom and the slate.

Freedom-

0% intro APR until 2/1/2013

$300 Cash Back with first purchase

5% Cash Back

1% Cash Back

Slate-

0% Intro APR until 2/1/2013

12.99 after 2/1

Both with no annual fees.

I just open a American Express, and Barclay Visa card.

Here is my credit profile...

Discover More (AU) CL $15,800 Balance $184.00

Barclay Visa CL $3000, Balance $1000

AMEX PIF Each Month

Paypal Smart Connect CL $800, Balance $124.00

Orchard Bank CL $300, Balance $47.54

US BANK CL $3500, Balance $1,000

I just open the Barclay and Amex in July, the rest have a year of history, no lates Smiley Happy

Should I apply for the slate and the freedom and do a balance transfer for Barclay? Will Barclay do a CLD?

I also ran my EX report from AMEX and it was 748

Any advice is appreciated!

Re: What should I do?

Very nice score! Really solid mix of credit in your portfolio. Do you NEED the new Chase account? You have a much better credit profile then I do -- but I consistently hear on MyFico to only apply for credit that you need. Barclay's is inq sensitive. But if your latest inq's were 4 months ago, that might be okay. A lot of people love the Freedom and Saffire.

At any rate, congrats on amassing an impressive credit profile in only a year! I hope to get where you are at in 2012.

Transunion: 713 FICO (5/13/2014) MyFico
Experian: 789 FICO (4/10/12) Lender Pull
Equifax: 695 FICO (1/10/14) MyFico

My cards: Chase United Mileage Plus 7000CL (3/12), CITI Simplicity 1800CL (9/12), Cap1 Platinum 1000CL (2/10), Cap1 Cash back 1500CL (11/11), Apple Barclay's 2500CL (11/11), Discover IT 6000CL (5/13)

My Primary Financial Goal is to put down my utl%.
