I've asked Chase multiple times to PC my Slate to a Freedom. I paid the card off a few years ago and haven't used it since due to the lack of rewards. They always offer me the option to apply for a new card instead of a PC.

You have to apply and than transfer the limits I think

That's not really a PC then; that's opening a new account and combining your credit limits.
If you are willing to take the HP, I would just apply for the $100 sign up bonus. That's what you would make with $2,000 in bonus category spending...
