Back when Chase didn't AA me at the drop of a hat, I  bought my car off lease for $17k and paid it off over 1.5 years at 0% and then a couple of years later, bought a work van for $10k with a Chase access check with no fee.  Ah, those were the days.

I had to pay for most of my brother's funeral. I paid the full amount with my credit card and a few family members helped quite a bit, but my part was several thousand that I am paying on my own. I paid about 1000 to the credit card right away then another 2000 within the past 30 days. He had prepaid funeral services then cashed out some of it.. It is what it is. I am just glad that hubby and I have the resources and ability to pay it of over a short time. About 15 years ago when my mother passed away, my (other) brother put the charges on his credit card and we paid him back.
