My 1st CC was 29 yrs ago When I was 16, yes.. 16 I got my first "store charge account" at a local store I worked at called Pegues (a department store), for $100. That next year, I started working at another local department store called Newmans, and my limit was $500! We were required to buy clothes from there and wear them to work! Win win for me! That started my whole spiral downward in credit at a young age! When I turned 18, I got 2 major master cards from what was at the time " Cross Country Bank", It was downhill ever since, lol!!!
I no longer have any of those cards, the store went out of business, and accounts dropped off my reports long ago
Cap1 platinum card - no AF - 3k limit, just after recently being denied for a capital one secured card. Lol.
Edit: I was 18 btw.
Citibank Visa - in the 80's when I was in college - age 19 - $750 CL. Never ever asked for a CLI - I did not even know anything about that - Was at $6,500 or so by the time I was 27 or 28.
I was 18. My first credit card was a Visa from the local credit union with a $500 limit. It never grew. It was $500 for the whole decade that I had it.
My 2nd card was a Care credit card I used for my dogs.
My 3rd credit card was a household bank card that I used for 0% financing on a sewing machine.. lol

BoA Platinum Plus Visa when I was 18. My mom was going to add my as an authorized user on one of her cards (and knowing what I know now about amex I wish she had ) but someone told her it wouldn't help build my credit, so we got my own. Had to have my mom be a guarantor. Started with a $1000 limit. 3 years later, $5500, no guarantor, PC'd to a Cash rewards.
I also ended up getting a Discover More card a month later. Which is now an It. Started with 1200 on that
