If the account is closed the account is closed. There's no longer an account for the AU's to use. Is some cases the tradeline is removed from the AU's reports. In some cases the tradeline is reported as closed.

Depends on the individual's credit and the tradeline. There's no universal effect that applies to every situation.
You also have to consider that not all scoring models and creditors consider accounts where one is an AU. For those scoring models and creditors there is no impact since the account wasn't factored in to begin with.
