When are credit limit changes reflected in credit report?

Thinking about making a CL change and wondering if this is reflected immediately in the credit report or if it is like balances and reported on the statement closing date. Appreciate your responses!

they are reported with the statement and balance to the credit bureau, but are typically available immediately, IE if you get a 5k cli to 8k, you will be able to spend 8k immediately but it wont show up on your report until statement day when your card always reports.

Thanks jj, that is what I had assumed.  Actually looking to decrease CL for future approval purposes but I appreciate the color.
