Hello all,
I recieved my Discover it student card in the mail today and activated it this morning. I was just wondering when Discover usually reports the account opening to TransUnion, Equifax, etc. I recently recieved and activated my Barclay Apple Rewards card and that was added to my report before the physical card even arrived in the mail. Any general ideas on this timeframe would be great.
Thanks,
Elle
Mine reported quickly also, within a couple of weeks.
This means your first statement was cut on Oct 24th as Discover gives you 25 day grace period (Nov 19th), same day Discover reported to the CBs.

Well I applied for my secured account with Discover on Oct 9. When I pulled my credit reports on Nov. 3, it was already there. So less than a month. My first payment wasn't due til Nov. 19.
Opened 1/24
Received and activated card 1/29
First statement cut 2/6
Reported 2/7 just in time for my monthly 3b pull.
Sidenote - Amex was opened the same day, claimed 2-3 business days to get the card whereas Disco said 3-5, i got the Disco first.... and Amex still hasnt cut a statement yet or reported

AMEX reports after the second statement.
And, OP my Discover reported after the first statement cut.
