Re: When to use Citi Forward/Quicksilver

If it's truly not getting you any extra points, then there's no rewards benefit to using it ever.  I would stop using it except maybe once every six months or so for a small purchase to keep the card open.

BofA Cash Rewards 25,000 (2009) | Citi Double Cash 25,000 (2011) | Cap1 Quicksilver 10,000 (2013) | Discover It 31,000 (2014) | Chase Freedom 9000 (2014) | Barclaycard Rewards 25,000 (2014)

Update

And the verdict is.............. It's not useless after all.

Just did an online chat and they confirmed I still had the 5x for resturants

Thanks everyone for their suggestions!

Goes from being useless to being VERY VERY good!  5x on entertainment, including Amazon purchases and all dining.

In that case, use Forward for all the restaurant spending. Then redeem the points for student loan rebate/cash to your bank account to get the full 5%.
