Best is always highly subjective regardless of topic and it's no different with cards. You need to specify your criteria. Why are you singling out AmEx? You should have your needs/wants defined and use that to select a card versus selecting a creditor and then trying to justify one of their cards. There is no single best or else we'd all use that and we wouldn't bother with any of their other cards. Your spend -- the specific categories and amounts, whether or not you can leverage MR transfer partners and various other factors all play a role in determining what is best for you. Give us as much as possible to work with to help you narrow down the options. What do you want from the new card? What's lacking with your current lineup?
Also, do not simply consider AF or not AF. Run the numbers for your spend. Consider total cost versus benefit.

I feel like now that I have the Sallie Mae Card, my BCE is a backup card and only used at Costco. I kinda feel like their offerings are a bit weak and I don't know what stand out benefits their cards have.
If you already have the BCE, you have no other AMEX cards to app for which will provide no AF and any kind of cash rewards. Every other AMEX, you have to earn out of the AF, or you have to find a way to make use of MR points or Hilton HHonors points, and all those are limited usefulness. The Blue will be MR points, used for travel only.
Looking at your siggy, there are really no other popular national-scope cards you could consider for additional rewards.
The next level up is the Blue Cash Preferred, which would work only if you promise to ignore the other rewards cards until you max out the $6k groceries every year. Otherwise, the AF will take all your rewards, so basically you would be wasting spend to pay AMEX their AF. Not a good choice.
Kudos to you Thanks for such a great and well thought out response! What do you think about having multiple Sallie Mae cards? I see people on here who have 2 or 3 I think? My spending cap doesn't reach that much as I am a student right now, but in the future I think I may go over the caps.
Having two Sallie Maes is great IF you can get them. Barclays's official policy is that you can't have two of the same card. If you usually get instant online approvals you can probably get multiple SMs, but if your app requires manual review, they'll shoot you down for that second Sallie you wanted.
