American Express. They certainly don't use FICO.

This surprises me. Was there something posted on this? I guess I am asking if you have any evidence for this statement?

Lenders don't use FAKO's with Vantage Score being one of them. Either they look at your FICO scores or they have their own computer generated scoring system.

I recentlyapplied and recieve an AMEX card.  I was initially denied, and told the CSR I have high fico scores.  She said AMEX doesn't use FICO score.  They use Risk scores.  The Risk score is from Experian.  The report they pull more than often and for any type of product is from Experian.

Re: Which CCC uses "Vantage Only Score"

"Risk score" is a generic term. FICO scores are risk scores, Vantage scores are risk scores, CCC internally-generated scores are risk scores. It just means that the score attempts to measure the risk of borrower default.

AmEx has its own system going, which I believe is home-grown. With all the money and research they have, I'd say that they don't want to pay anyone for scores if they're happy with their own version.

But anyway, OP, Kohl's is the only one I've heard of.
