Just an update I applied for the amex surpass after closing out my 8.6k BCE card. Instant approval 12.9k. Got my card and just realized that in order to meet my initial spend I can prepay some of my utility bills. Never occured to me before to prepay some of these bills. Already a third of the way to meeting the initial spend between health insurance bill and utility bill and only have had the card for a few hours.Gotta get some sunglasses tomorrow and I need to make a tax payment and need to buy some clothes for upcoming trip so I should meet this spend pretty quickly and hopefully have the bonus hit my account in time to redeem for my trip in a few weeks.
