Which backdoor number to use for Chase CLI

I know Chase is extremely hard to get a CLI; but I am going to try.  I looked at the backdoor numbers but am confused on which one to use for asking for a CLI.  Anyone know the right one?  Thanks.

Re: Which backdoor number to use for Chase CLI

I haven't heard that they're hard to get a CLI with before; in fact, I actually find them quite painless to get CLIs with, though be aware they do a HP for a CLI.

Every time, I've just called the number on the back of my card and asked for a CLI so I'm not sure a backdoor number is necessary.

Would you know which CSR they pull from?  I am in OKlahoma at the moment (dying to get back to Big D, Texas)!!!

All Chase pulls on my report are on Experian.

I've also tried calling the backdoor number first, and I was instructed to go through the CSR before calling for an analyst.

I went through the CLI process with Chase in June.

Call CS on the back of your card and ask fro a CLI. YMMV, but it was a double pull for me with EX & EQ. (There is at least one thread in the archives that also mentions HP CLI request with Chase is a double pull.)

If you are declined, then call for reconsideration (I used 888-270-2127). There, an analyst can review your request, explain why you were declined (I'm auto-declined because there is a BK on my report), and help you get recon. Depending on the amount you're asking, you may have to talk to Lending (which some here will recommend avoiding, but my experience with Lending was quite helpful and positive).

I do a CLI request with Chase every Feb and my EQ/TU reports have 0 Chase pulls on them. There must be some secret sauce for their selection decision, perhaps depending on which card you're asking for a CLI on?

Re: Which backdoor number to use for Chase CLI

I think Chase is hard to get for CLI in a sense that they always require (or usually) a HP. They also don't give as many auto clis as other lenders. When compared to Amex 3x CLI soft pulls and Cap1 Soft pull luv buttons and auto cli etc. But from personal experience, I do find when you actually do  request a CLI  from Chase and take a HP that generally you will be granted one, of course pending your credit profile is solid. I also think they have the best "recon" line or whatever you call it. Seems like if you get a CLI denial and by calling them and talking to a rep or lending specialist they have the power to overturn and approve you for what you want. Unlike Cap1, where their agents can't really do anything after the decsion.

Re: Which backdoor number to use for Chase CLI

I can vouch for this---I've grown my CSP from 5K to 20K in just under 6 months with 2 hard pulls from Chase.

If yiour profile is solid they will reward you!

^^^ how solid?  lol - seriously, not that it totally matters but what are your scores and how much do you use the card?  is that 2 hits at one time or over 6 months?   I sort of lost interest in the fu and am using the penfed in hopes of growing it more.  Just got 63K from them for a car so I should be clear to try a cli in 90 days without a hp..  anyhow whatever you care to share is welcome, that is a great cl you have
