Which card should I choose?!

Hello. I'm trying to figure out what card to apply for as I want another credit card in my life! I'm stuck between 4 cards (Zync, Gold, Sapphire Preferred, JPM Select). Right now, I will only need the card for basic purchases (no travel, etc) and rewards really don't matter to me. I might need to travel in a year or so, however (so a card with travel benefits & no foreign transaction fees would be ideal). I like the low fee of the Zync, but don't like how it is not upgradeable. Love everything the Gold has to offer, but don't think I'll be able to take advantage of the benefits right now. Sapphire Preferred looks to be a great card. JPM Select - I dislike how it is a hidden tradeline. CreditKarma score is 731 (haven't checked FICO, waiting for a recent CLI approval to report before checking). Would love to hear your advice.

Current "stats":

  • Never been late on anything
  • Had credit for 4 years
  • 10k auto loan paid off a year early
  • Citi Dividend Visa - $40 bal/10k limit (waiting for a balance to report before paying off)
  • Kohl's - 0/700
  • Dell - 0/2500

Re: Which card should I choose?!

I agree...

BCE or BCP from Amex are good cards for cash back on everyday purchases

Chase Freedom

Chase Amazon.com Visa - 2% on gas and restaurants, 3% on amazon purchases, 1% on everything else.

Your Chase Sapphire Preferred already has no foreign transaction fees.
