I did try the preapproval sites, but they didn't come up with anything.
It looks like it's down to the Chase Freedom and the Citi Forward. I have to say, the $100 bonus on the Freedom looks mighty enticing, although I do remember there being times when they offered $250 or even $300.
Ok im lost only one person said app Amex which was bad info IMHO
everyone else said freedom or student card from Citi
So sounds to me as if you just wasted a HP please tell me you didn't app Amex?
No, I apped for Amex BCE a few days ago and was denied, but it's OK as it was only a soft pull because I already have the Zync.

Ok you had me worried ....Weeeh
it was a SP because you are already a customer
New question why was it denied?
The only reason they gave was "length of time with American Express is too short."

How long have you had the account at least a year right? guessing b/c it's a zync
Almost, since August.
At this point I'll probably wait on that card until January so I can get maximum backdating.

Thats why I asked yes yes yes
YMMV but freedom and citi student would be good chances of approval especially when they see $5000 credit limit with Amex
Go to chase and Citi sites and see if you have any pre-approvals
