Trying to size up what I should app for in Jan. I have my sights set on a SPG, other then that I don't have anything else in mind. Seen lots of talk about the various animal cards but I think I want one that offers solid rewards. I have no balances and always pif, I only have one loan with a balance around 5k so no real debt. My income is <65k and likely to increase to 125k around app time. I have no desire for cash back cards.
Monthly spend is only 5-6k so I try to spread things out among the cards. I do alot of traveling for work and most I am reimbursed (airfare/hotel/car). I am unsure whether to keep the United and CSP with the recent devaluations and if I decide to switch out, what travel card or rewards program is considered second best after the CSP/United combo? I fly mainly Alaska Air but United was my second choice due to the ease of earning miles. From reading I have done I guess the obvious choice is to fall back on the Alaska Air card.
something from chase, i mean anything. They religiously deny me so i am assuming this must be they must issue the "cards of the gods" or something to that effect.
Definitely the SPG card, especially if you're traveling on Alaska. SPG points transfer 1:1.25 to Alaska if you transfer in increments of 20k, so you would earn more Alaska miles per dollar on the SPG cad.
I'm looking forward to AMEX Zync coming back, with some rumors going around. If it does come back, i'm definitely gonna jump on it!

Can you elaborate? I haven't heard anything of the sort.
